News and Announcements

To keep you up-to-date, here are the latest news and announcements from VPM.

Current Promotions Extended for New and Existing Customers

Since the introduction of our new promotion system last month, our current promotions are doing so well that we’ve decided to keep it running for another month. Remember that these promotions are available to both existing and new customer with one promotion exclusively offered to only our loyal existing user. Check out these great promotions and learn how promotions work.

If you’re an existing user, you can add a promotion to your mailbox. Please email us the promotion code you wish to use and we’ll apply it to your mailbox. Promotions are effective immediately.

Newly Merged Billing and Subscription System

On March 1st, we made our billing process easier to understand by merging our subscription and usage billing into one single system. This means no more separate monthly charges for your subscription. All fees are now deducted from your account balance.

A centralized billing account gives you many benefits. First, you can prepay your subscription services by simply adding credits to your account. This helps those who prefer to pay 3-12 months in advance. Second, the new system will allow you to fund your account through other non-credit card payment methods. Alternative payment options will be added over the coming months.

American Express Cards Now Accepted

An existing customer spoke up about us not accepting American Express cards as a payment option. So we listened! Now you can use your American Express card to fund your account. For existing customers, you can simply go into the Account Settings and update your billing information.

New Service Features and Improvements

We’ve made some awesome improvements to give your service more value.

New Feature – Free OCR and High Resolution Pages for Downloaded Mail PDF

We’re working on some very fantastic features to add to your mailbox. The first great feature to come out of our Tech Lab is better PDF files. All your mail (envelope and mail page content) are now OCR’ed. This allows you to search your PDF mail on your own computer so you can find what you’re looking for fast. Almost all your mail is already OCR’ed, including current and past mail in your archive. So give it a try and let us know what you think.

And as a extra freebie, the images in the downloaded PDF files are now at full resolution. This means more clear text and better looking images.

Improvement – Download Mail PDF Files Up to 80% Faster!

On top of giving you better PDF files, we’ve also reduce the time to generate the PDF files for download. Depending on the number of pages in your mail, this may take some time and is frankly quite frustrating for those who need to wait. So we’ve made serious improvements to this process. The new file generation algorithm is 80% faster than the previous implementation. So what used to take 5 seconds now takes only 1 second.

Even though 80% sounds like a great number, this is not good enough for us. Our Tech Lab is already experimenting on new ways to make download PDF near-instantaneous with no waiting. Stay tuned!
