Frequently Asked Questions

Can I cancel TruLease at any time?

With TruLease, you sign a one year contract that renews annually. Though there are specific conditions under which you may cancel (see below), the plan requires a one year contract. The contract must be renewed for as long as you have the leased address on file with any financial institution or vendor.

What is your cancellation policy?

If no lease agreement is signed, then you can cancel any time within 30 days from sign up. If the lease agreement is executed within the 30-day time frame, then you will need to show us proof of rejection (written letter or email) before refund will be approved. If the rejection occurs after the 30-day time frame, we can cancel the plan on a case by case basis, but you will not be refunded any past amounts that you have paid for. If your plan is not canceled within 30 days and there is no proof of rejection, then you must wait until the one year contract ends.

How long is the utility bill good for?

The utility bill is guaranteed to be effective for 3 months from the date you are billed.

What if the utility bill is not accepted? Do I get a refund?

It’s not possible to guarantee that the utility bill will always be accepted by all vendors. For this reason, there is a full refund if the utility bill cannot be used to satisfy the proof of address requirement with any vendor. Note that if you’re able to use it with at least one vendor, then no refund will be issued.
