What will TruAssist not do?

TruAssist only works on business-related tasks that can be performed remotely.  This means TruAssistants cannot perform personal-related tasks or tasks that require physical activities like coffee runs, dry cleaning pick-ups or housekeeping duties. However, they can order groceries and office supplies online.

TruAssist does not include any packaging, shipping or mailing services, since these involve physical stamps and supplies. You'll need to sign up for a virtual mailbox service if you have shipping or mailing needs.

Does TruAssist offer more services than what is listed?

At this time, main services are restricted to administrative, bookkeeping, and purchasing tasks. Please see our article for a detailed list of supported tasks.

When it comes to my data, what security measures are in place?

Each team member must pass a background check before they can begin working. Plus, all are HIPAA compliant and handle your sensitive data with discretion.

All VPM web applications are encrypted over a secure connection using high level SSL encryption, which cannot be viewed by a third party and is the same level of encryption used by banks and financial institutions to protect your password and username and other shared data. Your billing information is transmitted, stored, and processed according to the PCI Data Security Standard where all transactions related to your credit card are processed using secure encryption, the same type that banks use.

How am I billed with TruAssist?

TruAssist is billed on a per minute basis with no monthly minimums. Different types of work have different rates. For example, more specialized work, like bookkeeping, will have a different rate from administrative tasks. Expect the rate range to be similar to what you’d pay for temp workers.
